The government is targeting 7.9% of families who receive integrated PKH benefits in 2019

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemsos) targets 7.93% of Beneficiary Families (KPM) participating in the integrated Family Hope Program in 2019.

Minister of Social Affairs Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita explained that the increase in the number of PKH participant independent graduations was in line with the government’s determination to reduce the poverty rate to below 9.5%.

For this reason, the Ministry of Social Affairs increases the implementation of family capacity building meetings (P2K2) or Familly Development Session (FDS).

“The activity is carried out massively by PKH Facilitators to each KPM. The assistant directs KPM to utilize PKH assistance for productive purposes, including improving the health of mothers and children through purchasing food that supports increased nutrition, “said Agus in his statement, Tuesday (22/1).

It is noted that the number of KPM who have been prosperous or graduated continues to increase. In 2017 there were 230,351 KPM or 2.3% of the total 6 million participants. In 2018 there were 621,789 KPM or 6.21% of the 10 million KPM. In 2019 it is targeted at 793,000 or 7.93% of the 10 million KPM.

“The target of increasing the number of integrated KPM is very realistic considering that the aid index and FDS are also being improved,” added the Minister of Social Affairs.

The 2019 PKH social assistance index consists of two types of assistance, namely Fixed Assistance and Assistance by Component. Fixed assistance per family per year is IDR 550 thousand and PKH Access IDR IDR 1 million.

Assistance based on components per life per year consists of pregnant women Rp. 2,400,000, children 0–6 years old Rp. 2,400,000, SD or equivalent Rp. 900,000, junior high school or the equivalent Rp. 1,500,000, high school or the equivalent Rp. 2,000,000, people with disabilities Weight IDR 2,400,000, Elderly 60 Years and Over IDR 2,400,000.

PKH Social Assistance is given 4 times a year, namely in January, April, July, October. The first phase of PKH assistance launched in January was IDR 12.28 trillion.

In 2019, PKH social assistance is targeting 10,000,230 KPM or a total of 17,911,452 KPM PKH members, with details of KPM having 165,851 pregnant women, 3,210,000 early childhood children, 6,644,900 elementary school children, 3,581,800 junior high schools, SMA 2,585,400 people, elderly 1,612,200 people and people with severe disabilities 110,992 people.
